This is the males second spawn, but as he is an egg eater, he only has a couple of fish from the previous spawn. He was bred by Dora Hattemore and is a very nice fish with no curling noticeable. We hope to define the ray count in the tail as well as build towards breeding DTCT. The female is a small fish we picked out of a female tank in a local garden centre for very cheap as a runty baby along with her sister, both of which have big dorsals suggesting DT influence. A few months of good food and we have a nice little compact female in a very cool unusual colouration who spawned very easily.

We don't know how many will survive as the male was removed the day after spawning as he once again started eating eggs. Water level was dropped and we now have tails so we shall see.
