Betta Albimarginata are gorgeous little mouthbrooding bettas. When we heard they were available we promptly set out to pick them up. These are our first mouthbrooders and we have a small group of 2 males and 2 females.

Courtesy of wikipedia, Albis are from Borneo, and live in shallow forest streams, with plenty of places to hide. We provide ours with terracotta caves and driftwood, with beech cones to darken the water. They do breed like guppies once started (ours have not yet) and the male requires rest between breeding or he will starve to death. Brooding takes roughly 10 days.
