This was an experimental cross to add doubletail dorsals to my own red line. The male is a homebred and one of my favourites. He is also a full brother to the National Betta Show Bettas4All Reserve Best in Show female (can be seen in Show Results). The female was bought at Aylesford Aquatics and I really liked her body length and topline for a doubletail. So far they all seem to be a dark red but showing more iridescence than the red line would normally show. However they all show the DT geno and good promise for the shows.

09/07/19 - Spawn are all big enough to start thinking about next steps. There is a lovely collection of breeding females with massive dorsals and a handful of nice males. Sadly the nicest potential for shows damaged his gill plate (my fault. Forgot to remove the mirror) so he will be being a dad in a month or two.
