The Copper male is an import, and was from a wholesaler via Joep Van Esch (Betta Territory). Female is bred by Maria Ornberg (M.O Bettas) but did not quite reach giant size. However her full sister bought at the same time did.

The fry are developing lovely blue metallic colouration and some very odd light body, dark fin fish. There are also some spade tails popping up unusually. Its hopeful at the rate of growth that at least a portion of the spawn will reach official giant size.

29/09/19 - While there are some awesome fish in this spawn, there are no giants. All are standard size. There is also a spadetail with a surprising 'armageddon' colouration we will be crossing on a dalmation female from A210419 which is also giant bred but not to size. It will be interesting to see if any giants appear from that cross but we are mainly hoping for good quality spades with colour appeal.
