Originally this male was bought in a store. However it looked so familiar that we did some digging and it turns out he was bred by Sabrina Elderhorst of Betta NL. He has a lovely big strong body, and a very vivid strong red on a light body. The dorsal is broad but not DT. His anal needs sharpening but the female has that covered hopefully.
The female is a very nice DT carrier dark body female. She is one of my favourite females though her colour needs a lot of work for shows. Despite that she still placed 2nd in her only virtual outing. She has lovely finnage and the long body that is characteristic in fish related to Eugenio's lines.

So far all the spawn seem to be light bodied and growing well, with signs that the DT dorsal was passed along (thankfully as she was the last one left of this line with it). Hopefully there will be some nice show fish that come out of this.
