This cross is a very hopeful one. The male the only male I kept from the this spawn. While not show quality, his lovely big dorsal and minimal ray count with the 180 spread makes him the perfect breeding male. He is a good large size but is a little short proportionally. His colour also needs a lot of improvement, having a body so dark his siblings were classed in the Any Other Colour rather than red. The female is bred by Eugenio Fornasiero and is a very good match for him. She has a very very long body on her and is a much stronger bright red. She has a full 180 and should increase the ray count to help sharpen the caudal edges. Her fins are a little messy but his are very sharp so I'm really looking forward to see how these develop.
